Energy Storage Association (UK)

Dedicated to Promoting
Energy Storage Technologies

Who we are

The Energy Storage Association (UK) (ESA) is a dynamic new member-supported trade body. We represent the critical role of energy storage to support the cost-effective transition to a resilient and secure clean energy system.

The ESA will represent the entire energy storage value chain. This includes electrical, thermal, hydro and hydrogen-based storage, together with all emerging technologies across residential, commercial and utility scale applications.

Founded by industry leaders and industry leading manufacturers and academic institutions we are a non-profit organisation working on an exciting agenda.

Our mission

Empowering a sustainable future with energy storage.

We envision a world where energy storage is the backbone of a resilient, affordable, and net-zero energy system. As the leading trade body for energy storage, we are committed to driving innovation, investment, and policy that accelerate the adoption of energy storage technologies.

By empowering businesses, communities, and policymakers, we will unlock the full potential of energy storage to stabilise the grid, reduce costs, and deliver clean energy when it’s needed most. Together, we will build a sustainable future where energy storage is the key to a greener, more equitable world.
